Covid-19 Vaccination News

Updated 1st April March 2021

To date nearly 15000 ‘first’ doses of Covid vaccine have been administered from Milford Hospital Vaccination Site to our local population.

Current Priority: If you are a household member of someone who has reduced immunity please use THIS FORM to let us know so that we can contact you for a Covid vaccination as soon as possible.

We are waiting for the go-ahead to start offering Covid vaccinations to patients under the age of 50 years.

If you are 45 years old or over you can now book directly into one of the Mass Vaccination Centres using the: National Booking Service

Second doses: We have started delivering ‘second doses’.  Second doses will be delivered in the 11th week after your first dose. Please rest assured that you will be contacted by text or phone close to the time it is due. The Milford Vaccination Clinic gets relatively short notice of when vaccine will be delivered – this is why you will only be contacted 1-2 weeks before your second dose is due.

For all the most up to date information regarding the roll out of Covid vaccination locally please visit: New Forest Primary Care Network website .

We are all very excited to be part of the vaccination delivery programme, and look forward to getting our patients safely vaccinated.

We are delivering the vaccination programme in collaboration with the other local GP Surgeries that make up the ‘New Forest Primary Care Network’.

We are being provided with a limited supply of vaccine as it becomes available, and will be contacting patients in the priority order that NHS England has set out (i.e. those at most risk being vaccinating first).

We kindly ask you to avoid contacting the practice to enquire about the vaccination process – we are already much busier than usual, and this is adding to our workload. We will be in touch with you as you become eligible for vaccination. For patients with a mobile phone, we will send you an SMS message enabling you to book your appointment directly, but we will also be calling patients with no mobile phones listed on our system to ensure they are not missed out.
